THE ASSESSMENT OF AWKWARD LISTENING SILENCE
One of the key abilities of listening is silence, which hampers his daring area in relationships.
In awkward silence is the area where God works to release the fact of watched lips, as an individual bravely relies on the moment of care.
ENTER THE SILENCE
How few relational interactions characterize the area of silence? Very few. Too many exchanges occur when each individual insists on having their opinion, without listening to the other's intention, reason, and message.
But entering the silence is truly the art of a man or a woman who agrees to say nothing until the right time comes. This man or woman could also have an easy question to ask - that's all.
There is energy in that question. Could be 5 words. It could be one.
As something is affirmed in uncompromising simplicity, the energy emanates from that word.
The opportunity to put a pregnant sentence into the conversation is only accessible when we pay enough attention through silence, speaking through the physical language and gestures of the place as much as possible.
CONFORMING SILENCE
If we ever want to have a transformational interaction, reason someone to think, inspire anyone to heal, to show empathy, we need to have faith in the silence within which ministry must take place.
We defer the desire to provide our advice. We separate ourselves from the domestic truths that we trust will help us. Distracting phrases are still in the vehicle or in some other room. Focus and interest come in silence.
And in silence, pay attention to the Spirit. You do not want phrases of our help. The Spirit will speak something in the awkward silence of listening. Stay there.
Listening has so much value in communication and in many cases a greater listening that relies on the discomfort in silence.
